Josetta Berardi, MBA, CCP


Background
Josetta has over 24 years of Human Resources experience in the financial services industry covering a broad spectrum of sectors. After getting her M.B.A. degree, Josetta joined Citibank in New York as a human resources generalist for the marketing department in the credit card business. She subsequently moved to the compensation department and earned her designation as a Certified Compensation Professional from Worldat Work. Josetta managed the position evaluation, stock option and bonus processes and became the manager of the compensation department for the credit card business. While at Citibank she also held a variety of generalist positions servicing Legal, Treasure, Finance, Credit, and the Insurance business in addition to a chief of staff role where she managed the corporate recruiting relationship with the Univerity of Pennsylvania as well as the budgeting and reporting processes. Her last position was as an International Generalist for the Audit Department in which she built processes and procedures for the ex-patriot staff.

After nine years at Citibank, Josetta relocated to Denver to assume the position of HR Director for CoBank, an international lending organization for agribusiness, telecommunications and rural utilities. During her tenure she managed the employee relations, employment, relocation and disaster recovery functions.

Josetta then joined Deutsche Bank in New York as a human resources generalist for the fixed income sales and trading businesses. She also held a generalist position for the global distressed debt, real estate, loan portfolio and high yield businesses. Her last position was as a generalist for the global legal and compliance staff where she built talent management and succession planning processes. During her tenure at Deutsche Bank there was a heavy emphasis on compensation planning and processes. Additionally, she headed the due diligence team for a large acquisition in the real estate business.

After relocating back to Denver, Josetta joined The Banking Initiative team where she is applying her strengths in talent acquisition in service to their clients. Her competencies include recruiting, inside knowledge of the banking industry and broad HR and management experience. She prides herself in partnering with clients to find the best talent available in the market.

Josetta earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Seton Hill College and her Master of Business degree from Syracuse University.
